Chef Ashwani Kumar

Head chef Ashwani Kumar's passion for innovative and contemporary style of cuisine shines through the pages of the menu at Mango Lounge. His classic and contemporary creations have earned him a string of awards since the restaurant opened its door in 2007.

His skills and talents reflect his sound grounding at the Taj hotel, simply the best in India. He also had a stint at the famed Cinnamon Club in London before moving to Windsor.

He was awarded for two consecutive years in the Best Signature Dish and the Best Traditional Dish categories at the annual competition held during the National Curry Week where the organisers receive thousands of entries each year. Ashwani's creativity has earned him a place at the semi finals of the National Chef of the Year, 2011.


He is a truly enthusiastic and motivated chef who thrives on the competitive spirit, a quality much needed not only to survive, but also to outshine others, in the cut-throat hospitality industry.
